OnePlus debuted its first mechanical keyboard during its Cloud 11 event in the beginning of the year. Pre-orders would start in July, the company announced at the launch. The KeyBoard 81 Pro will be available for open purchase in a number of locations, including North America, the United Kingdom, and India.

The KeyBoard 81 Pro will be offered in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada on July 26th, according to the OnePlus website listing. The ad, however, suggests an open sale date of August 7 for the Indian market. In the meanwhile, curious customers can test out the 24-hour early access sale that OnePlus is promoting on its OnePlus KeyBoard 81 Pro listing, which is already available in their respective locations.

During the open sale, the OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro is available for as little as $219 in the United States, $299 in Canada, £249 in the United Kingdom, and Rs 17,999 in India. There will be two colorways of the Keyboard 81 Pro: Winter Bonfire and Summer Breeze. The Winter Bonfire version is priced as previously described. The Summer Breeze model has a somewhat higher price tag; it costs $239 in the US, £249 in the UK, $329 in Canada, and Rs 19,999 in India.

For those who are unaware, OnePlus and renowned keyboard manufacturer Keychron collaborated to build the Keyboard 81 Pro. The Keyboard 81 Pro is a true mechanical keyboard manufactured of CNC aluminum.

It supports open-source firmware like QMK and VIA, has swappable switches, and is adaptable. Additionally, it enables RGB illumination, key remapping, and many other features. It may be used with Windows, Mac, and Linux, the three most popular operating systems. It may also be utilized and connected to Android and iOS mobile devices.

The Keyboard 81 Pro has a built-in 4000mAh battery that supports Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity and charges using USB Type-C.

It will be interesting to see what keyboard lovers think of the company’s new mechanical keyboard as OnePlus broadens its product line. Naturally, we are eager to give it a try.
