Leaked: New Moto G85 5G Smartphone Hints At Its Upcoming Launch

After releasing the Moto G84 5G smartphone in Australia in November 2023, Motorola is currently getting ready to release the Moto G85 5G, its successor.

A European retailer’s website has listed the smartphone, indicating that a launch date may be approaching.

The listing indicates that the 12GB / 256GB version costs approximately €300 (about A$487).

The Moto G84 5G retails for A$399 in Australia and can be purchased through JB Hi-Fi and the official Motorola website. A$449 is the pricing on JB Hi-Fi.

A 6.55-inch FHD+ pOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a maximum brightness of 1300nits is included with the predecessor.

A Snapdragon 695 processor with 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage powers it. You can increase this to 1TB.

There are three cameras: a 16MP front camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP back camera with OIS.

The G84 5G boasts several connectivity options, dual 4G VoLTE support, and an under-display fingerprint sensor for added protection. It also supports 5G with 14 bands.

It features two microphones, a 3.5mm audio connection, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged quickly (30W turbocharged).

This smartphone also has an IP54 water resistant rating.

Motorola just released the Moto Edge 50 Fusion and Moto Edge 50 Pro smartphones in Australia.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro features a 50MP primary camera and a 10MP 3x telephoto camera. It also has a sandblasted aluminium frame, rounded edges, and IP68 protection against dust and water.

The phone also has a 6.7-inch pOLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz, 1,220p resolution, and Moto AI. When used with the new Moto Buds+, it enables Dolby Head Tracking and Dolby Atmos audio quality.

Next is the recently released Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, which has an IP68 rating for protection against dust, water, and unintentional drops. It also includes Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

It boasts a 6.7-inch Full HD+ pOLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz, dual speakers, compatibility for Dolby Atmos, a 50MP primary Ultra Pixel camera, a 13MP ultrawide camera, and a 32MP front camera.

Retail pricing for it is A$599, and it will be available from the end of May at JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, Harvey Norman, Bing Lee, Amazon, and the official Motorola website.

Samsung, Nokia, and Apple—albeit at a higher price point—are among Motorola’s main rivals.

Apple is getting ready to launch the iPhone 16 series, Samsung is getting ready to release its foldable devices, and Nokia has unveiled the 2024 iterations of three legendary phones from its history.

These are the three models of Nokia: 230, 6310, and 5310.
