TCL 50 XL 5G, Priced at $159.99, with a Dimensity 6100+ and FHD+ 120Hz Display, is Now Available in North America

TCL, a Chinese electronics maker, first debuted the TCL 50 series smartphones at CES 2024 in January. The TCL 50 XL 5G was one of the devices in the lineup; it was rumoured to cost less than $169. This smartphone is now available in North America.

Before any new customer promotions are applied, orders for Metro by T-Mobile in North America may now be placed for $159.99. In terms of features, the TCL 50 XL 5G has a 6.78-inch IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a resolution of 2,460 x 1,080p. It also has a 2.5D glass surface.

A 50 MP primary camera, a 2 MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2 MP depth sensor make up the phone’s optical configuration. It includes an 8 MP selfie camera on the front. Its MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus processor, accompanied by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, powers the device. Additionally, a MicroSD card can be used to increase the storage capacity.

The battery may be charged quickly—18 W—and holds 5,010 mAh of power. The phone weighs 195 g and has dimensions of 167.6 x 75.5 x 8.22 mm. The phone comes with Android 14 pre-installed on it. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
