The Xiaomi 15 series has launched globally, with the Xiaomi 15 Ultra showcased at MWC 2025. These successors to the Xiaomi 14 series feature Leica-powered optics, a better telephoto lens, and upgraded internals.

Launch Date

Today marks the launch of the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra in India. The phones will be available on Xiaomi’s own website, Amazon India, and other stores.

The Xiaomi 15 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage was released in Europe for EUR 999, or about Rs 91,000. The smartphone was first sold in China for CNY 4,499, or around Rs 54,000.

In contrast, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra was released in Europe for EUR 1,499 (about Rs 1,36,000) with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, and in China for CNY 6,499 (approximately Rs 78,000).

Colour Options

While the Xiaomi 15 Ultra may only be released in a silver chrome colourway, the Xiaomi 15 will come in three colour options: black, green, and white.

Camera

A 200MP Leica telephoto lens, a 50MP primary Leica camera, a 50MP ultra-wide Leica camera, and a 32MP front-facing selfie camera make up the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s quad-camera configuration.

In contrast, the Xiaomi 15 has three cameras: a 32MP selfie camera, a 50MP telephoto lens, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP primary camera.

The Ultra Chipset

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset powers the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The Xiaomi 15’s processor is paired with 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. However, the 8 Elite chip is also constructed using the 3nm technology in the 15 Ultra. Additionally, there is a single version with 512GB UFS 4.1 storage and 16GB LPDDR5X RAM.
