SpaceX will Launch 23 Starlink Satellites from California

Today, January 24, SpaceX is scheduled to launch a second set of its Starlink internet satellites from the central coast of California.
During a launch window that starts at 9:07 a.m. EST (1407 GMT; 6:07 a.m. local time), a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 23 Starlink satellites is set to depart Vandenberg Space Force Base.
Starting about five minutes before the launch, the event will be streamed live on SpaceX’s X account.
The Falcon 9’s first stage will return to Earth approximately eight minutes after launch, landing in the Pacific Ocean on the drone ship “Of Course I Still Love You,” assuming all goes according to plan.
The SpaceX mission, this will be the 23rd launch and landing for this particular launcher. Starlink missions have accounted for 14 of its 22 prior flights.
About 64 minutes after launch, the upper stage of the Falcon 9 is expected to deploy 23 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit.
This launch represents the seventh Falcon 9 mission devoted to Starlink this year and the eleventh mission of 2025.
Starlink is the biggest constellation of satellites ever built and is still growing. According to satellite tracker and astrophysicist Jonathan McDowell, the network presently has more than 6,900 active satellites.
