There could be a different direction for the case materials on the Google Pixel Watch 2

Following numerous leaks, rumors, and conjectures, Google unveiled the first-generation Pixel Watch last year. It is far from the greatest smartwatch on the market, while providing a quick and fluid Wear OS experience. Most Pixel enthusiasts are hopeful that the second-generation Pixel Watch will offer upgrades and fix the problems with the first-generation model as the firm is currently rumored to be working on it.

There have already been a few Pixel Watch 2 leaks in recent weeks, and now a new report suggests that it might be made of a novel material. The Pixel Watch 2 will have an aluminum body to make it lighter than its predecessor, according to 9to5Google. Due to its stainless steel construction and rather high weight compared to many other wearables on the market, the first-generation Pixel Watch weighs around 36 grams without straps. The Fitbit Sense 2, which has an aluminum body and weights only roughly 26 grams without straps, is a good example.

The rumor also states that Google is getting ready to roll out new workouts under the “Coach” brand as part of a redesigned Fitbit app, which is anticipated to debut alongside the Pixel Watch 2. According to reports, the new feature will be comparable to what Fitbit Premium now provides and is not related to a similarly called workout feature that was predicted several years ago.

While the most recent claim doesn’t offer any additional specifics regarding the Pixel Watch 2, earlier leaks did provide important information. Most significantly, a Qualcomm processor is anticipated to replace Exynos in the upcoming wearable. It is probably going to use a Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 SoC as its processor, which should give it a much longer battery life than the first-gen device. Like its predecessor, the Watch 2 is anticipated to be available in LTE and Wi-Fi only versions and have the same projecting display with a spinning digital crown.
