Android TV Gets a “Shop” Tab to Let You Buy, Rent, and Access Old Purchases

Google has a basic intend to make looking for new motion pictures or Television programs to a lesser degree a baffling cycle on Android television. Because of a spic and span “Shop” tab went to Android television units, you’ll before long have the option to track down new stuff, however your old stuff as well, across the board place.

You can see exactly what I’m referring to in the image below. Google will soon add a Shop tab to Android TV’s top navigation menu, replacing the Search, Home, Discover, and Apps tabs that were previously there. This tab, as they clarify for us, “allows you to investigate motion pictures to purchase or lease and make buys straightforwardly on your Android television.”

In the past, you had to look for the app you usually use to buy or rent content in the Apps tab or in the Home tab as a recently used app. Since “Shop” kind of perfectly describes what you are doing when you decide it’s the night to buy or rent something, this new tab should leave you with less thinking and more doing, even though it’s not a very difficult task.

Another advantage is that this Shop tab contains all of your previous purchases and rentals that are still available. Although it appears to be a side-scrolling list rather than an easy-to-use multi-row table like the Google Play Movies & TV app, the new Library section will showcase your content. If your library contains more than ten items, maybe Google will realize that a single-row library is not ideal one day.

Regarding the rollout and timing, Google will begin promoting this change today in 24 nations worldwide. Inform us as to whether you see it on your Safeguard television or other Android television gadget.
