Agra is best known for the Taj Mahal.

Agra is also known as “the city of Love”, Agra is located on the banks of river Yamuna and is founded by Sikandar lodi.

Taj Mahal attracts 8 million tourists every year. The dead body of Mumtaz has placed at the Banks of River Yamuna. As he promised he constructed the Taj Mahal over her grave. Even Shah Jahan dead body was laid beside Mumtaz Tomb. The love between Shah Jahan and Mumtaz made a beautiful monument which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

How to reach Agra by flight?

Agra is easy to reach from Delhi, being 200 km away, with about 20 trains connecting the 2 cities. Road travel is also convenient, taking about 4 hours. Air India operates flights to Agra’s Kheria Airport.

How to reach Agra by train?

Agra is located in the middle of main the following train lines: Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Chennai, it is quite easy to reach here by train from anywhere. Cities such as Delhi, Jaipur, Gwalior, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai are well-connected to Agra with regular trains.

By Bus

Agra is well connected by bus to cities like Delhi, Jaipur, Gwalior, Lucknow and Kanpur. Daily buses ply between these cities. Agra has two major interstate bus terminals called Idgah Bus Stand (which is located right in the centre of the city and is 8 kilometres from the Taj Mahal) and ISBT (which is located at a distance of 12 kilometres from the Taj Mahal).

Road/Self Drive

Agra is connected to Delhi by NH2 and the new Yamuna Expressway. The drive time is about 4-5 hours depending on traffic and time of the day. Jaipur is connected to Agra by NH11 and is a 4-hour drive. Gwalior, connected by NH3 is a 1.5-hour drive while Lucknow and Kanpur, connected by NH2, are about a 2-hour and 5-hour drive respectively.
