The present Doodle praises Turkey’s Republic Day, one of the country’s most significant occasions. On this day in 1923, the Turkish parliament (called the Grand National Assembly) revised its constitution to build up the Republic of Turkey.
Portrayed in the Doodle craftsmanship is Turkey’s notable First Grand National Assembly of Turkey Building, which housed the parliament from 1920 and 1924 and filled in as the site of the country’s memorable affirmation of freedom.
