Skullcandy’s Latest Buds Blend Style, Function, and Bose Audio in the Method 360 ANC

Skullcandy has built a reputation in recent years for offering budget-friendly earbuds that come packed with solid features and surprisingly decent audio quality. Now, the brand is stepping into a higher price bracket with the release of its new Method 360 ANC earbuds, which are launching at a “special” introductory price of $99.99, expected to increase to $129.99 later. These are among Skullcandy’s priciest models to date, but the company has partnered with Bose to make sure they deliver both premium sound and comfort.

Similar to how Motorola’s Moto Buds Plus utilized Bose technology, the Method 360 ANC earbuds also benefit from licensed Bose audio tuning. According to Skullcandy, this collaboration brings their most advanced audio experience yet. The earbuds come with three sizes of ear gels and stability fins to offer a secure, comfortable fit while helping block external noise passively.

While they may not quite match the performance of Bose’s high-end QuietComfort Ultra earbuds, the Method 360 ANC offer an affordable alternative at a fraction of the cost—potentially saving buyers around $200.

One of the standout design features is the charging case. Rather than using the typical flip-top design, Skullcandy has opted for a sliding case similar to its Dime Evo model. It includes an O-ring loop for easy attachment to bags or keys, functioning much like a carabiner. Though the case is relatively large, it significantly boosts playback time-from 11 hours to 40 hours total, or 9 to 32 hours with active noise cancellation enabled.

These earbuds are available in five colors: black, bone, primer, plasma, and leopard. They also sport a four-microphone hybrid ANC system, a Stay-Aware mode to let in ambient sound, and a low-latency mode for improved syncing during gaming or video playback.

Additional features include wear detection that auto-connects to devices and pauses playback when removed, along with multipoint pairing for seamless switching between devices. With an IPX4 water and sweat resistance rating, support for Spotify Tap and Google Fast Pair, and integration with the Skull-iQ app for customizing controls and EQ settings, the Method 360 ANC earbuds aim to deliver an impressive and flexible user experience at a competitive price point.
