The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Indiana Pacers 112-89 on Tuesday night to extend their winning streak and win for the sixth time in a row.

Grant and Simons Take the Lead

With 22 points to lead Portland’s offence, Anfernee Simons put on an impressive showing. With 20 points, Jerami Grant offered solid assistance, assisting the Blazers in keeping up their pace.

Portland has further cemented their comeback in the Western Conference by winning nine of their past ten games.

In the fourth quarter, T.J. McConnell’s jumper reduced the score to 80-74, giving the Indiana Pacers a push. But with 6:10 remaining, Portland’s lead was 89-76 thanks to a long 3-pointer from Scoot Henderson.

The Pacers have been among the league’s most dominant teams despite the defeat, winning 12 of their last 15 games and finishing in the top five on both the offensive and defensive ends of that run.

Myles Turner made his comeback to action and scored nine points for Indiana after missing Monday’s victory over the Utah Jazz due to a right peroneal strain.

Portland led 27–18 at the end of the first quarter, establishing a good start. After a valiant effort by Indiana to cut the deficit to 38-34 late in the first half, the Trail Blazers led 45-38 at the half.

Turner made a 3-pointer to pull the Pacers within 53-49 in the third quarter. Portland kept control, though, and after a strong dunk by Shaedon Sharpe, the margin was pushed back to 60-52.
