Engineer offered lift in SUV, denied of cell phone

A 32-year-old specialist working for a product organization was ransacked off his cell phone on Pune-Mumbai Expressway by two people who offered him a lift from Hinjewadi. Police captured the two suspects on Wednesday.

The occurrence occurred on May 27, when the designer was on his way from Bhumkar Chowk region to Khopoli. Around 6.30 pm, when he was sitting tight for a vehicle, a SUV with two tenants proposed to drop him in lieu of an amount of some cash.

In the wake of voyaging a distance, the two took steps to kill him and grabbed his cell phone. They took out the SIM card, gave it back to him and dropped him close to Talegaon Dabhade, police said. An official from Hinjewadi police said, “On Wednesday, we captured both the suspects.”
