Chery Reveals the Super Hybrid Tiggo 7 and 8 SUVs

The Chinese automaker Chery has stated that its new Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8 Super Hybrid SUVs will go on sale in July 2025. The Tiggo 7 will start at $39,990 drive-away, while the base Urban trim of the larger Tiggo 8 will start at $45,990.
The updated midsize SUV, which will no longer be called Pro, will be on sale in July 2025 and come in two well-equipped models: the base Urban and the top-of-the-line Ultimate.
The base model has two 12.3-inch infotainment and instrument screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 18-inch alloy wheels, a reversing camera, synthetic leather seats, intelligent voice control, and a 6-speaker sound system.
The product is completed with an LED lighting package. A panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, heated and ventilated front seats, an 8-speaker Sony sound system, a wireless phone charger, and puddle lights are all included when you upgrade to the Ultimate.
Performance & Powertrain
The single electric motor provides 150kW and 310Nm of torque, while the 5-generation 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine under the hood generates 105kW/215Nm. They use a single-speed specialized hybrid transmission to transfer power to the front wheels.
Four driving modes—pure electric, series, parallel, and energy recovery—are intelligently switched between by this stepless electric hybrid system. Its 18.3kWh plug-in battery can be charged to 80% capacity in 20 minutes, allowing it to travel up to 93km without recharge.
Tiggo 7 Features
The next iteration of Chery’s diamond-style front grille, which will eventually be included into the standard gasoline-powered versions, is seen on the Tiggo 7 CSH. Lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and AEB are examples of advanced driver aid systems.
Tiggo 8 Features
The Pro Max is dropped from the name of its more opulent Tiggo 8 brother, which will mimic the Urban and Ultimate trim levels. In base specification, the former has 19-inch alloy wheels, a 360-degree camera, seats made of synthetic leather, and a wireless phone charger.
A 10-speaker sound system, a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch infotainment system, puddle lights, LED illumination, voice control, and ambient lighting are all included. The driveaway Ultimate, which costs $49,990, has front seats that are heated and ventilated.
Safety and Design
There are speakers mounted on the driver’s headrest, a panoramic sunroof, a head-up display, a 6-way powered driver’s adjustment and massage, and LED scuff plates. Its super hybrid technology charges at the same rate and produces the same amount of power.
When in hybrid mode, the two units cooperate to provide a 1,200-kilometer driving range. It also has the same safety features and the redesigned grille. A seven-year, unlimited-kilometer warranty is included with every Chery vehicle.
