Check out our ranking of the most visible attendees at the Met Gala, including Alia Bhatt, Kendall Jenner, and Kim Kardashian

Our very own Desi girl, Alia Bhatt, was the “most visible” celebrity at the Met Gala-not supermodels or pop stars. Monday night in New York, Alia made her second-ever appearance at the Met Gala, lighting up social media with her photos, videos, and gorgeous Sabyasachi saree.

Who among them has the most influence?

In terms of visibility, Sabyasachi and Alia reportedly fell behind the biggest companies, influencers, and celebrities, according to a report on the influencer marketing site Lefty. In her towel (15), Alia Bhatt defeated Kim Kardashian (5), Kendall Jenner (2), Kylie Jenner (3), and even Doja Cat. Oscar de la Renta and Burberry were defeated by Sabyasachi.

During her second appearance at the renowned fashion event, which takes place every year at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the star stole the show with her elegant saree that flowed down to a 30-foot trail.

163 artisans worked to create Bhatt’s couture saree, which honored The Garden of Time, the official Met Gala dress code for 2024.

It was intricately worked by hand using silk thread, glass beads for the fringe, beads, sequins, and semi-precious stones. According to the designer’s official Instagram page, the hand-crafted shirt was adorned with multi-colored sapphires, tourmalines, emeralds, and Basra pearls.

Bhatt wore the Bengal Royal collection from Sabyasachi High Jewellery, which has been decorated with diamonds, tourmalines, sapphires, and emeralds, to finish the ensemble. The actor, 31, debuted at the 2023 Met Gala wearing a Prabal Gurung gown.

Bhatt wrote on Instagram that the outfit “took a life of its own” as everyone worked to reflect the universal subject of the Gala in an Indian manner.

Making this has been quite the experience-both relaxing and demanding at the same time. This beautiful saree is the result of 163 dedicated workers, including skilled artisans, embroiderers, artists, and dyers, who put in a total of 1965 man hours of work. The actress added, “As I wear this outfit, I feel incredibly grateful to embody this exquisite creation, a testament to boundless love and painstaking effort.” She also thanked her dress’s designers.
