Vivo Y19 Launches with 5G Support at a Budget Price
Vivo has expanded its Y-series lineup with the introduction of the Vivo Y19 5G smartphone. The inexpensive 5G smartphone offers significant improvements over the previous generation model, the Vivo Y18, in terms of display, processor, and battery. Overall, the smartphone’s design has undergone significant changes.

Upgraded Processor
Vivo has updated the previous generation’s entry-level Helio G85 chipset with the midrange MediaTek Dimensity 6300 CPU.
RAM and Storage Options
The 5G processor is combined with up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, with additional storage available via a dedicated microSD card slot.
Operating System and UI
In terms of software, it comes pre-installed with Android 15-based FunTouch OS 15, and the brand has not announced any software updates.
Camera
The Y19 5G has a dual rear camera arrangement, with a 13 MP primary camera (down from 50 MP on the Vivo Y18) and a 0.08 MP secondary lens. It sports a 5 MP front-facing camera (down from 8 MP on its predecessor) for selfies and video calls.
Larger Display
Vivo also included a slightly larger display in the latest smartphone, with a 6.74-inch LCD display (up from 6.56 inches in the Vivo Y18) that outputs at a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz.
Sleeker Design Despite Bigger Battery
The smartphone’s battery capacity has increased from before. The smartphone comes with a 5,500 mAh battery and supports 15 W wired charging.
Despite having a slightly larger battery than its predecessor, the Vivo Y19 5G is slimmer than the Y18 (8.3 mm), measuring 8.1 mm (0.31 inches) in thickness and weighing only 199 grams (0.43 pounds).
5G Connectivity and Convenient Security
The remaining attractions include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and 5G connectivity.
AI-powered Features
AI functions include AI Erase, AI Photo Enhance, and AI Documents.

Available in titanium silver and majestic green.
Price
The Vivo Y19 5G costs INR 10,499 ($124.53) for the base 4 GB + 64 GB edition, while the 6 GB + 128 GB model costs INR 12,999 ($154.19). The smartphone is currently available for purchase from Vivo’s online shop, Flipkart, and other authorized retailers.
