Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore, two NASA astronauts who have been stuck on the ISS for nine months, are scheduled to return to Earth on March 16. SpaceX’s Crew-10 mission, which is scheduled to launch on Wednesday and replace Crew-9 before they return home, will determine their departure.

Crew-10 Mission Set for Launch

Launching from NASA’s Kennedy Space Centre in Florida will be the Crew-10 mission. At 5:18 a.m. IST on Wednesday, the launch is planned. Four astronauts will travel aboard the Dragon spacecraft, which has already flown Crew-3, Crew-5, and Crew-7. Anne McClain, Kirill Peskov, Takuya Onishi, and Nichole Ayers are among the crew members.

The spacecraft will split off from Falcon-9 and change direction after launch. Before docking, it will align with the ISS through a series of burns. The hatch will open when the ship docks, allowing the new crew to enter the station.

The Crew-10 mission is scheduled to be launched by Elon Musk’s SpaceX on Wednesday. Four astronauts will be sent to the ISS as part of the mission, replacing the current crew. Sunita Williams, a NASA astronaut who has been in space for more than eight months, is one of the people waiting to return.

NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams, who participated in the first crewed flight test of Boeing Starliner in June, will return to Earth. Originally scheduled for a 10-day mission, they return after spending a significant amount of time at the ISS.
