DJing is one of the most fun things you can do with your weekend. But being a DJ as a career is not an easy task. There are a lot of challenges that a DJ might face which Sha7an is going to tell you about these. Sha7an has numerous experiences as a professional DJ and has faced many challenges in his career life. These are some of the biggest challenges.
Lack of preparation
The number one source of stress is lack of preparation. Dumping your tracks onto a flash drive isn’t good enough! You have to spend the time curating your set like a garden. You must collect and organize the music you want to play before you start your programs. That way, you’ll be able to spend less time doing admin and your set will flow.
Every DJ gets interrupted with requests from people that don’t understand what you’re doing. And while most DJs prefer to be left alone, sometimes requests can actually help you read a room. Don’t be afraid to hear them out; if it’s a terrible request, you can always decline.
Opening up to the crowd: It doesn’t matter if there are 20 people in the crowd or 200, a DJ should embrace the crowd, engage the audience and keep up the high energy level. Creating the atmosphere: A DJ should create an atmosphere and got to keep the audiences entertained and dancing.
