After Tata Motors, Hyundai is the second automaker to offer a twin CNG tank. This adaptable and luggage-saving tank was recently unveiled by the South Korean company in the Exter and will eventually be offered on the Grand i10 Nios and the Aura. One of the top 20 best-selling cars in India, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, is a competitor of the Exter CNG.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG vs. Hyundai Exter CNG: Dimensions

Based only on measurements, the Maruti Fronx has a length of 3995 mm, a width of 1765 mm, and a wheelbase that is 2520 mm longer than average. The Punch, on the other hand, stands 1631 mm tall, giving it a taller stance. It’s noteworthy to observe that the Fronx has 16-inch tyres, whereas the Exter CNG has 15-inch tyres. The Exter’s boot area has increased thanks to the new twin CNG tank, however Hyundai and Marut Suzuki have not disclosed the precise capacity.

Engine Specifications: Hyundai Exter CNG vs. Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG

A 1.2-liter normally aspirated engine powers both the Exter and Fronx CNG vehicles. The Maruti Suzuki CNG generates 76.4 horsepower and 98.5 Nm of torque, whilst the Hyundai CNG generates 68 horsepower and 95.2 Nm. The vehicles are connected to a manual 5-speed gearbox.

Starting at Rs 8.50 lakh, ex-showroom, Hyundai will still sell the single- and twin-cylinder Exter CNG vehicles. There are three versions available: S, SX, and SX Knight Edition. The Fronx, on the other hand, comes with only the standard single-cylinder CNG tank and is offered in two trim levels: Sigma and Delta. The ex-showroom pricing of the Fronx CNG is Rs 8.46 lakh.
