Lionel Messi: Chelsea star Eden Hazard is the ‘Messi of tomorrow’, Kevin Keegan

Eden Hazard has been compared to the likes of Messi and the Argentine’s opponent Cristiano Ronaldo for years.

The Chelsea forward hasn’t exactly figured out how to achieve the goal-scoring numbers that Messi and Ronaldo acquire each year, notwithstanding.

Hazard has without a doubt been Chelsea’s standout player of the previous couple of seasons and played an instrumental role in both their Premier League title wins in 2015 and 2017.

However, the 28-year-old has been connected with a major cash move to Real Madrid this season and seems as though he could be off in the summer.

Furthermore, Keegan, who was speaking the BBC, is sure Messi can achieve the level of Messi in the coming years.

“I think Eden Hazard is the best player, 100 per-cent,” he said.

“He’s the Lionel Messi of tomorrow and he’s almost there now.”

Keegan proceeded to take note of that Messi can become Real’s key player throughout the next couple of seasons, beginning a ‘revival’ at the Spanish giants.

“I think he will leave Chelsea and probably go to start the revival at Real Madrid,” he added.

“He’s still young, can change a game and is the one player who really gets me off my seat.

“When he picks it up, he can go past two or three players and I’d have him above all of the others.”

Hazard can conceivably win his final trophy at Stamford Bridge with a success over Arsenal in the Europa League final on Wednesday, May 29.

Hazard has been involved in 31 goals for Chelsea this season in the Premier League with 16 goals and 15 assists.

Chelsea have just secured a top four position this term, implying that they will be involved with next season’s Champions League.
